Arsenal's Wenger ensuring there is no sentiment upon Monaco return

Arsene Wenger insists there will be no emotion or sentiment when he walks out onto Stade Louis II on Tuesday night.

The French tactician takes his Arsenal side to Monaco for the Champions League Round of 16 second leg after their shock 3-1 defeat in north London late last month.

Wenger spent seven years as Monaco boss back in the formative days of his managerial career but asserts that there will be no romanticism upon this visit as he has a job to do with Arsenal.

"For me, it is very special moment. I was a young coach here at Monaco, and stayed here for seven years," he said.

"However, the experience I have gained can help me to make the right decision tomorrow, so I am able to separate the emotion of coming back and the importance of the game.

"I am here for work and my job is for my club to win."
