Arsenal forward Theo Walcott and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie swapped shirts in the tunnel on Sunday to avoid criticism from managers and fans alike.
Walcott and his former skipper van Persie traded playing jerseys after the 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium in privacy to avoid a similar negative backlash to the one which occurred earlier in the season at Old Trafford.
On that occasion, Gunners left-back Andre Santos approached van Persie for his shirt in full view of TV cameras and Arsenal supporters which prompted ire from manager Arsene Wenger but Walcott was smarter, grabbing the Dutchman's United kit after the game away from onlookers.
