Arsenal defender Johan Djourou will know about his new knee problem when he has scans on Monday.
The 24-year old Swiss centre-half had to be replaced in the 48th minute of Saturday's dramatic 4-4 draw with Newcastle United after scoring inside the opening five minutes with a knee problem that may keep him out for the remainder of the season.
The club fears he has damaged ligaments in his troublesome knee that kept him out of action for a long while last season. If the injury does happen to be worse than initially feared, it will provide Gunners boss Arsene Wenger with a few problems in the back half as Thomas Vermaelen remains on the sidelines leaving only Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien Squillaci as fit centre-halves.
