Joel Campbell is set to be given first team opportunities with Arsenal this season.
They are the sentiments of new captain Mikel Arteta who feels the talented Costa Rican forward is good enough to push for senior selection at the Emirates Stadium after spending the past three seasons on loan.
"I'm very impressed with Joel," Arteta told Arsenal Player.
"He's got great feet, great technique, he's very creative and he's a young lad who is full of energy and is enthusiastic.
"He wants to stay here, he wants to make his stamp here and I think the boss is going to give him a chance."
22-year old Campbell signed with the Gunners from homeland club Saprissa in 2011 and has since spent time in France with Lorient, in Spain with Real Betis and in Greece with Olympiakos.
His most recent loan with Olympiakos yielded 11 goals and 12 assists from 43 outings including a screamer against Manchester United in the Champions League.
