Arsenal face missing out on Colombian Giancarlo Poveda.

The Daily Mail says Barcelona look to have beaten Arsenal to the punch for Poveda.

The 14-year-old winger had been training with Arsenal for a number of weeks after leaving Puerto Malagueno and looked set to sign but Barcelona have stepped in.

Poveda has already figured in a couple of friendlies for the Spaniards and played for Barcelona's youth side against Jabac on Tuesday. They are now confident he is ready to commit to the club.
