Arsenal relaunching budget bid for WBA defender Evans

Arsenal are finally confident of acquiring the services of Johnny Evans.

Following WBA's relegation to the Championship, the Gunners believe they can get their man for just £3m.

The Irishman seems bound to leave West Brom, especially after he allegedly refused to play on the last day of the season, away to Crystal Palace – via text.

Albion are adamant the player had a permission to miss this game.

Arsenal are even more interested in Evans although Arsene Wenger will leave the club as captain Laurent Koscielny will be sidelined until Christmas and Per Mertesacker opted to retire.
