Arsenal have ramped up their interest in Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.
The 30-year-old has enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Roma this season, with reports suggesting he wants to remain with the Serie A club.
But that all depends on whether Roma can afford United's asking price, and other clubs are showing an interest.
And Corriere dello Sport claims Arsenal have already lodged an offer for the centre-back.
The report claims the recent coronavirus pandemic has prompted Smalling to think about a return to England in the summer, considering the distance between him and his family.
Tottenham and Everton have also show an interest in the former Fulham man.
