Arsenal push Middlesbrough closer to Championship

A Cesc Fabregas brace saw Arsenal go 20 leagues games unbeaten as they comfortably disposed of Middlesbrough 2-0 at The Emirates. Fabregas scored in both halves as the classy Gunners were more than a match for relegation threatened Boro who lost a club-record 10th away game in succession.

Speaking to Sky Sports Fabregas said, "It's always good if we keep playing the right way in the league, ahead of the Man United game, which is the most important game of the season for us, so it was good for confidence.

"To score a goal, or to score both goals, for the team is always special, but the team was amazing.

"We got off to a good start and the movement of every player was good, so we are happy with that."

The result also sets up Arsenal nicely for the midweek Champions League clash at Manchester United.

"The smallest mistake can cause you problems. Man United are a great team, we respect them a lot and we love the way they play and I'm sure it will be a good game."
