Arsenal are prepared to go into next season with Robin van Persie not having sign a new contract.

The Telegraph says the hope at Arsenal is that Van Persie will be persuaded to sign a new four-year deal that would be worth in excess of £100,000 a week.

But the club still regard Plan B as their captain seeing out his contract and leading their attack next season, despite this meaning he would be able to leave for nothing next summer.
