Arsenal prep for Lens clash hit by disruption

Arsenal have suffered a blow ahead of their first away Champions League game in six-and-a-half years.

The Gunners, who will take on Lens in France on Tuesday, were stranded at Luton Airport for up to five hours.

The Gunners' first team squad were meant to get to France on Monday afternoon.

However, a storm in the surrounding areas of the airport saw their flight delayed.

There will be no fine for the club missing the pre-match press conference, as the circumstances were beyond their control.

Arsenal may have Thomas Partey back in the squad for the game, as he has recovered from a groin issue.
