Arsenal plot bid for Turkish midfielder they let go for 400k

Arsenal are reportedly considering a £10 million swoop for Turkish midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, whom they previously let go for a fee of £400 000.

After failing to move up the ranks at the Gunners, Ozyakup returned to his homeland with Besiktas and has gone on to make more than 150 appearances for the Super Lig giants.

Ozyakup has been impressive for Besiktas during recent seasons and boasts a record of 27 goals and 43 assists for the club and Arsenal are now considering re-signing him.

Ozyakup can operate in a similar role as Mesut Ozil. Ozil's current deal at the Emirates is set to expire at the end of the season and he has yet to renew his current deal, which has led to speculation that he could be set to leave the club.

Ozyakup could be a quality addition to the Gunners side and could also be good value for money.
