Arsenal players angry Wenger ignored Parker, Cahill signings

Arsenal players are upset with manager Arsene Wenger over his failings in the transfer market. The Daily Star says sources claim some players are dismayed that Wenger did not compete with Chelsea for the signing of England defender Gary Cahill.

The Gunners bid £12m for him in the summer, but let Chelsea snap him up for only £7m in this transfer window.

Also, despite a recommendation from chief scout Steve Rowley and England star Jack Wilshere, Wenger allowed Footballer of the Year Scott Parker to join Spurs for a similar fee.

It is believed both players let it be known they were keen on going to Arsenal.

There is a feeling at the club there remains a bias against English players, with Wenger and his assistant Bora Primorac not keen on home-grown talent.
