Arsenal are preparing a January offer for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko. The Mirror says Dzeko, who admitted last week that he is unhappy at his lack of game-time this season, is seen as a player who can help ease the burden on Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal have asked Real Madrid to keep them informed on Karim Benzema if they decide to sell the France hitman, whose contract is ticking down.
But the Gunners are also understood to be watching developments closely on Dzeko and, given any encouragement, they would move on him.
