Arsenal have offered Lucas Torreira to Lazio.
Il Corriere dello Sport says the Uruguayan is surplus to requirements at the Emirates after failing to make an impact in north London since arriving from Sampdoria. Torreira has been farmed out on loan in recent seasons with his latest spell coming at Fiorentina which came to an end this summer.
Arsenal were hoping the Serie A club would exercise their option to make the loan move permanent but have opted not to pursue a deal for the former Atletico Madrid man due to a dispute over agent fees. The Gunners are looking to find another suitor for Torreira, as a result, and Lazio have emerged as a potential landing spot.
Torreira is one of several options being looked at by Maurizio Sarri's men with the former Chelsea boss looking to add some toughness to Lazio's midfield.
