Arsenal are making an attempt to prise Daniele Rugani away from Empoli.
The young defender broke into Antonio Conte's Italy squad this season thanks to his impressive form with the Serie A minnows.
Tuttosport says Arsenal have been in contact with Empoli about Rugani's situation, but will have to overcome Juventus to take the youngster to London.
Empoli and Juve hold Rugani in co-ownership and the Bianconeri have the option to sign him outright for €3 million in June.
