Arsenal midfielder Reiss Nelson's impact at Hoffenhein has been formally recognised.

Nelson has been named Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for October.

The hugely-talented forward is currently enjoying a season on-loan at sixth-placed Hoffenheim.

Nelson, 18, has forced his way in Julian Nagelsmann's starting XI following a string of impressive performances.

And he has been rewarded for his brilliant form last month where he scored three times, including a double away at Nuernberg.

The "Rookie Award" is presented by Bundesliga organisers to players who are younger than 23 at the start of the season and must not have played in the league before the current campaign.
