Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made personal contact with PSG fullback Thomas Meunier.

Manchester United have begun talks over a potential £22m deal for the Belgium international.

The Mirror says Emery has made a personal effort to contact Meunier, who he knows from his time in the French capital.

The Spaniard is hopeful their relationship can help persuade Meunier to pick north London over Manchester.

27-year-old Meunier has one year remaining on his current contract.
