Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reiterated his support for midfielder Jorginho.
The pass master came into the team for the 3-1 win against Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend.
While Jorginho is not first choice for every game, Arteta wants to hold onto the Italian at all costs.
He told a press conference this week: “I'm really happy with him. That's all I can say.
“The contract situation is more for Edu [sporting director] and those guys to manage."
Whether Jorginho agrees to stay if he is not a first choice player is unclear at present.
