Arsenal manager Arteta admits goal difference key in title race

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admitted that goal difference could decide the Premier League title.

The Gunners are in third place in the table after beating Sheffield United 6-0 away from home on Monday night.

However, they do have the best goal difference out of Liverpool, Manchester City, and themselves.

Post-game, Arteta stated: “We don't know. The fact that we're scoring many goals and [not] conceding is a great sign, but it's about winning every game now. That's the demands these two teams have set over the past few years and that's the task ahead of us."

He then added on peaking at the right moment: “Yes for sure and obviously picking the right players that could bring something that we didn't have to the squad. They're certainly doing that. Also improving every player and the mechanisms and the culture around the team. They are doing that but it's still the most important part of the season ahead that's for sure."

He then finished on telling his players to score as many goals as possible: “The way we train they know what we want to do. But then you have to manage the game and you have to see how the opponent is looking. Today I think they did really well."
