Arsenal make their move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele

Arsenal are making a move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

L'Equipe says Dembele has been contacted by Arsenal in recent days. Liverpool and Manchester United are also interested.

Indeed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bolster his frontline with the signing of the Lyon forward, but the United boss is now facing competition from two of the club's biggest rivals.

United remain the 'most capable' of sealing a deal for for Frenchman, following on from reports last month that a €40million offer was on the table.

Dembele was coy on his future when quizzed about a potential return to England last month, saying: “I signed for five years with Lyon and I'm happy there but we'll see what happens."

Arsenal are in the market for a young striker signing after allowing Danny Welbeck to come off contract. CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov is also on the Gunners' radar.
