Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged the nation to get behind new England manager Roy Hodgson.
The West Bromwich Albion boss will be confirmed as Three Lions coach today.
Wright wrote in The Sun: "I am hearing a few moans about the likely appointment, but Roy needs to be supported by everyone. We are heading straight into Euro 2012 and he has the chance of making history.
"It's not as though we have done well over the last few decades - apart from a couple of semi-final appearances under Bobby Robson and Terry Venables.
"So, whether you wanted Harry or any other manager, I am appealing to all England fans to get behind our new manager."
