Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has explained why he made the move to Nice this summer.
The former Manchester City coach left New York City FC for Nice after several weeks of talks.
Vieira said: "What made the difference for Nice? This is the confidence inspired by the speeches of the leaders. Before talking about football, they told me about men, their way of working over the last six years, from Claude Puel to Lucien (Favre). For me, what they were doing was consistent.
"After, we talked about football. And there, I had the impression that the guys knew me very well. Me as a person, but also the way I work. They came to see me in New York when other clubs phoned me saying: 'When you're in Paris, we'll see you see'.
"You understand the difference?"
