Arsenal legend Tony Adams feels current captain Robin van Persie lacks quality support.

Adams believes Van Persie needs some classy lieutenants to help him.

He explained to the De Telegraaf: "When I was captain of Arsenal I always felt I deserved to be there.

"But I also had some guys who helped me in our defence. Our goalkeeper David Seaman would always shout at me.

"Such types may be missing for Robin, which is a shame because has a great passion for Arsenal."
