Arsenal leave Wigan striker Rodallega to Villa

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is going cold on Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega.

The Daily Star says Rodallega, who claims he has received an offer from Arsenal, scored 13 goals in the Premier League last season.

Owner Dave Whelan has promised that Wigan will not deny the 24-year-old a move to a big club.

Arsenal are known to have been tracking Rodallega for some time, but Wenger has recently snapped up Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh on a free transfer.

Aston Villa are willing to offer £10 million to land Rodallega.
