New York City boss Patrick Vieira is being left hanging by Arsenal.
The former Gunners captain has been linked with a return to Arsenal as a replacement for Arsene Wenger, but is still to hear from his old club.
Vieira has spoken publicly of his wish to take the job, but for now is yet to field any contact from Arsenal or intermediaries about succeeding Wenger.
Just last week, the Frenchman stated: "I spent nine years at Arsenal which makes the club really special for me.
"But that is not enough to coach the team.
"I am always flattered to hear my name linked with different football clubs."
