Arsenal are believed to at the front of the queue to sign Lucas Biglia from Belgian club Anderlecht.
Sky Sports suggests that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is again keen on the 25-year old defensive midfielder who has been in Brussels since 2006.
With Wenger prepared to sell Alex Song to Barcelona, Biglia has been identified as a possible replacement although there is reported competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Inter Milan for the Argentine.
