Arsenal have launched a bid for Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda.

Gunners chief Edu has had Fresneda watched for much of the season and made enquiries in January.

BILD says Edu has now formalised their interest with an opening offer for the young right-back.

Arsenal have made their move amid competition from Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal spent much of the season with Takehiro Tomiyasu sidelined and Ben White being played out of position at fullback.
