Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will have some explaining to do to teammate Nicklas Bendtner. The Daily Star says he gave a cutting assessment of the current squad when he was quizzed by fans at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday ahead of a live screening of Arsenal's 2-2 draw at West Brom.
Asked by one supporter who was more confident, him or Bendtner, Szczesny said: "I am confident, he is arrogant."
Szczesny's straight-faced comments came before Manuel Almunia dropped Arsenal's latest costly defensive gaffe to gift West Brom a two-goal lead.
Jens Lehmann rejoined the club last week and boss Arsene Wenger is now weighing up whether to throw the German into the title race at the age of 41.
Asked if Lehmann had changed from his first spell at the club, Szczesny said: "I was very young the first time he was at the club but he is still a nutcase!"
