Arsenal have joined the battle for Porto midfielder Hector Herrera.

AS says Arsenal and Real Madrid are reportedly among a number of clubs preparing to battle for Herrera.

The all-action Mexican international has spent the last five years in Portugal but his contract at the Estadio Dragao expires at the end of the current season.

Now various clubs are being linked with a switch for the 28-year-old.

Herrera met with new Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui during the international break.
