Arsenal hero Woodcock fears for Wenger if FA Cup lost

Arsenal hero Tony Woodcock fears for manager Arsene Wenger if they're beaten in tomorrow's FA Cup final by Hull City.

Woodcock wrote in the London Evening Standard: "Lose? It doesn't bear thinking about. It will incur the wrath of the fans, possibly turning many against him similar to the way they reacted to defeat in the first home game of the season against Aston Villa.

"I still think Arsene will be the manager next season, if he chooses to be, but this is not a game for him to lose. I could see the fans calling for a new start - a fresh approach - and the pressure would be on him. Life would become very difficult. What Arsenal fans want, desire, crave is a nice end to the season so that they are looking ahead to the new season with renewed optimism. The reverse will be true if they lose -25,000 fans will go home in an ugly mood."
