Arsenal hero Paul Meson is excited by the arrival of former Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Merson wrote in the Daily Star: "It was a massive statement of intent by Arsene Wenger to go out and spend £42.4m on him and it is something Arsenal fans can really get excited about.
"I didn't see it coming either. There are only a few players bigger than him in the whole of world football.
"People have compared it to Arsenal signing Bergkamp.
"Well if he turns out to be as good as the Dutchman then great - but as an impact-signing Ozil is even bigger."
