Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown feels Manchester City should turn a blind eye to Mario Balotelli's training ground antics.
Keown explained in his column for the Daily Mail: "Some people will wheel out the old cliche that training-ground bust-ups happen up and down the country every day but I only saw a couple in all my years as a player.
"Also, the fact other players jumped in shows there are enough leaders to keep City stable.
"It does, however, suggest that there is friction between Micah Richards and Mario Balotelli. With enigmatic players like Balotelli, you have to ignore a lot of what they do as they can be difficult characters at times, but maybe what the Italian said to Richards was the final straw." "Having said that, there is no reason to panic. Footballers are highly charged, competitive young men, things can be misunderstood between them and the atmosphere will be tense at Manchester City this week after they lost their first Barclays Premier League game of the season on Monday.
