Arsenal have no intention of selling future captain Bellerin to Barcelona

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has stated that Arsenal intend to keep hold of star defender Hector Bellerin for the foreseeable future.

Bellerin established himself as a regular for the Arsenal first team two seasons ago and the young Spaniard has since developed into arguably one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

Due to his fine form, claims have been made that Barcelona are planning a swoop to bring back Bellerin to the Nou Camp next summer but Sky Sports' Spanish expert Balague believes that Arsenal are intent on keeping hold of the 21-year-old for a long time, and eventually make him captain.

Asked when who is the perfect right-back for Barcelona, Balague told Sky Sports: "For me, Hector Bellerin.

"Not only is he a Barcelona player as we know having come through La Masia, he has gained so much maturity but somebody at Arsenal told me that if Arsene Wenger ends up staying, he could end up being captain in two or three years.

"He is that kind of personality and even though he is young, he loves Arsenal and London so let's see if Barcelona can convince Arsenal to sell Bellerin, which will be a hard task as they have no intention of doing so right now."
