Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour hopes that Paul Scholes comes out of international retirement for this summer's European Championships.
With Gunners young gun Jack Wilshere ruled out of the tournament because of the ankle injury that has sidelined him all season, Parlour is looking for Manchester United veteran Scholes to make himself available as the Three Lions get set for Euro2012 in Poland and Ukraine in June.
"It is a massive blow because it could have been a massive tournament for Jack Wilshere and England if he was there.
"Paul Scholes has been different class since he has come back. He has really helped Michael Carrick out in that midfield area. I think [Carrick] has improved since Scholes has come back.
"Scholes will definitely have a chance, if he wants to. It's down to him if he wants to play or not.""I always thought that Jack was running out of time to go to the Euros because he has been out for such a long time," Parlour told talkSPORT.
