Martin Keown cannot believe Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that the French giants are showing interest in the oft-injured Liverpool striker but former Arsenal star Keown can't understand why.

"I think that would be absolutely stunning - he has hardly played!" wrote Keown in his column for the Daily Mail.

"Don't get me wrong, I think he's a very naturally gifted player and now he looks to have a manager who understands him.

"I hope he stays where he is – we could finally see the best of him over a long period – but it may be tempting for Jurgen Klopp to cash in for that money.

"You could imagine half of the Bundesliga turning up in the summer!

"But all well-drilled teams have star players, and he is definitely Liverpool's.

"They will have to weigh up what they can get from him in terms of reliability and consistency, with what they could do with money.

"Is he just an icing-on-the-cake player or is he integral to them going forward? Klopp needs to decide."
