Theo Walcott could be leaving the England camp at any time in the next few days due to the fact that his partner is expecting their second child this week.

Walcott has been called up for the Three Lions for the clashes against Scotland and Spain but manager Gareth Southgate has stated that the Arsenal star could leave at the drop of a hat as his wife Melanie is set to pop.

The England boss said: "Theo Walcott might have to disappear at any time as his wife is expecting so we are conscious of that.

"But until we've had the chance to assess a couple of scenarios we are not too sure.

"We have named 25 for that reason, because there a couple of knocks from yesterday that we are not totally sure about too."

England host Scotland in 2018 World Cup qualifying at Wembley on Friday night before welcoming Spain for a friendly four days later.
