Arsenal are facing a challenge from Barcelona in their pursuit of Lille star Renato Sanches.

The Gunners are keen on bringing the former Bayern Munich midfielder to the Emirates.

Lille are open to selling the Portugal international, who is under contract until 2023.

According to Portuguese broadcaster ELEVEN, Barca have made Sanches one of their 'priority targets' for the January transfer window.

The Blaugrana have already secured the signing of Ferran Torres from Manchester City for €55m.

The Catalan club are trying to free wage space by offloading Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti.
