Arsenal are battling Real Madrid to land Flamengo midfielder Reiner Jesus.
TMW says the 17-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest young prospects in South America at the moment, and Gunners manager Unai Emery is said to see him as a hugely promising talent.
Reiner has not yet made a senior first-team appearance for his club, but he has captained Brazil at youth level and has scored five goals in nine games for Brazil U17s.
The Gunners will go head-to-head with Madrid, although they are seen as outsiders for the transfer as it has emerged that Reiner grew up idolising Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
But with fellow Brazilian Edu set to join Arsenal as technical director, it may give them more of a chance of being able to tempt Reiner to north London.
