Arsenal's board are convinced UEFA Financial Fair Play laws will see the club again competing for silverware. Tom Fox, who is responsible for increasing Arsenal's commercial income, believes that could see the Gunners challenging the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
"We have been successful as a club in some of the craziest economic times in the history of sport," Fox told a meeting of the Arsenal Independent Supporters' Association.
"We have been able to compete and have success by qualifying for the Champions League. Now we have the ability to close that gap to other clubs significantly.
"The club has done very well to position itself and hang in there, but over the next few years if we close that gap they could be our years."
