Arsenal are very eager to prevent Eddie Nketiah from leaving on a free transfer this summer.

The young striker has been playing more regularly for the club in the latter part of the season.

The Gunners are hopeful they can convince the 22-year-old to put pen to paper on a new contract.

However, there are up to six Premier League clubs eager to sign him, including West Ham United and Crystal Palace, all of whom can promise regular football from next season onward, per The Mirror.

Nketiah has scored four goals in his last five appearances, having started all of those matches.

Manager Mikel Arteta does want to keep him, but there is a fear that Arsenal's push to get him to renew may have come too late.
