Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has declared manager Mikel Arteta as the best he's worked with.

Tomiyasu is in his second season with Arsenal after arriving from Bologna.

"We understand more about Mikel's football. We have width, we have brought in some new players, but the biggest thing is that we understand Mikel's football more than last season," he told Goal.com.

"Mikel knows football, he knows the structures of football, everything. Our job is just to do what he says on the pitch. I believe him. He is simply amazing.

"He is the best coach I have had."
