Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is out of the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admitted he “doubts" whether Mustafi will be fit in time after his hamstring injury suffered in the semi final to face Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday week.

That is a major setback for Arsenal and also for Mustafi whose turnaround in fortunes under Arteta has been remarkable to looking like he was on his way out to now being a first choice centre half.

“The rest is true that Musti is injured and we need to assess a little bit how long he is out," said Arteta who was then asked whether he would be fit for the final.

“I doubt it. I don't know. We have to see how he evolves in the next few days. At the moment, I doubt it."
