Arsenal are interested in injured Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.
The Daily Star says the Gunners had lodged their interest by making an enquiry for the 24-year-old Southampton star.
But their hopes of landing Rodriguez - also a target for Liverpool and Tottenham - this summer were scuppered after he ruptured knee ligaments against Manchester City on Saturday.
Versatile forward Rodriguez was ruled out for six months after seeing a knee specialist on Monday night.
