Arsenal chief Gazidis slams Spanish Liga clubs over TV deal

Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis says they're happy with their collective TV deal.

Gazidis believes England's collective TV contract is one of the Premier League's greatest strengths.

Barcelona and Real Madrid rake in around 45 per cent of Spain's TV money. Last season Barca trousered £122million, while the third-highest paid club, Valencia, got £37m.

And Emirates chief Gazidis said: "The stability the Premier League has in terms of revenue sharing is, in my view, one of the strengths of the league.

"If we look at Spain then their issues, particularly in this economic climate, are exacerbated by the fact they do not have solidarity.

"I think it is placing owners of Spanish clubs under tremendous pressure and is damaging the game there."
