Sami Khedira is ready to perform a U-turn and seek to stay with Real Madrid.
El Confidencial says the Germany midfielder will return to the Santiago Bernabeu and go straight into a meeting with Real officials about his future.
With offers on the table from Arsenal and Chelsea, Real are prepared to sell Khedira to the highest bidder.
However, Khedira now wants to stay and will plead with directors to reopen new contract talks, making clear how deeply he regrets turning down the chance to extend his deal nine months ago.
The big problem for Khedira is that Real have already moved on, with the arriving Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich seen as a direct replacement for his countryman.
Real are keen to sell Khedira for €20 million - and there is some regret inside the Bernabeu they did not accept the €40 million bid tabled 12 months ago from Manchester United.
