Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Danny Welbeck's injury recovery is ahead of schedule.

The Frenchman, speaking at this morning's media conference, revealed Welbeck should be available in the New Year.

“He's ahead of schedule and he'll be back in January. It will take two months competition for him to get back to his best.

“We've improved on muscular injuries tremendously over the last two or three years and hopefully we can continue that."
