Arsenal boss Wenger warns Napoli off Vermaelen

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned Champions League opponents Napoli off skipper Thomas Vermaelen.

Vermaelen has struggled for first team action this season and is interesting Napoli.

But Wenger says: "He has a long contract and we want him to stay here."

On missing out on Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, he continued: "He's a dangerous player, it is better if we keep him away from the box. We must keep him quiet.

"Regret for the non-arrival of Pipita ? It is hard to talk before the game tomorrow, I'm glad we have Mesut Ozil and Higuain is in good hands with Rafa Benitez."
