Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains confident Robin van Persie will stay. Wenger is discussing a new contract with the Dutchman.

Speaking to US TV channel Fox Soccer, Wenger said: "I am confident you will see Robin van Persie in the Premier League and I am very confident you will see him in red and white.

"When you compare the Van Persie who arrived - from Feyenoord - to the player he has become today, it is remarkable."
