Arsenal boss Wenger rules out "the Egyptian keeper"

Arsene Wenger has rubbished reports linking Arsenal with a surprise move for 36-year-old goalkeeper Essam El Hadary.

The Egypt goalkeeper's club side Al Ahly claimed on Wednesday that Arsenal had made an approach for their veteran goalkeeper.

However, a move always looked unlikely with Wenger seemingly very happy with Manuel Almunia and young talent Lukasz Fabianski.

And the Arsenal boss categorically ruled out a move for the shot-stopper, who was named the top keeper at The African Cup of Nations.

"No I am not interested in the Egyptian keeper," stated Wenger.
