Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists a deal for Olympiacos defender Kostas Manolas is not close. Wenger was asked about the situation after their 0-0 draw at Besiktas.
"I have nothing special to add on that at the moment. Honestly, we are not close to signing anybody," he said.
"We are a bit short at the back, yes.
"I am worried, but we should have Mertesacker and Ozil and Podolski available again at the weekend, so let's hope they are in good shape when we go home."
